Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) and former Governor of Anambra State, has called for stronger partnerships between Nigeria and Switzerland following a meeting with the Swiss Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr. Patrick Egloff. “I expressed my gratitude for the invaluable contributions of the Swiss Confederation to Nigeria’s development, especially its support for critical economic, cultural, humanitarian, and peace-building initiatives, particularly in the North-East,” Obi said.

Obi added that stronger partnerships built on shared values remain essential to Nigeria’s growth. “Building stronger partnerships founded on shared values and a commitment to human development remains essential to creating a more prosperous and inclusive Nigeria,” he stated.
