President Bola Tinubu has congratulated Nigeria's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Jimoh Ibrahim, on his election as Chairman of the United Nations General Assembly Fifth Committee on Budget and Administration.

The President described the appointment as a significant achievement for both Ambassador Ibrahim and Nigeria, noting that it comes at a critical period when the United Nations is undertaking major financial adjustments and institutional reforms aimed at improving efficiency, accountability, and long-term sustainability.
