The warning follows a CNN report citing White House sources that the US is planning fresh strikes on Iran over the weekend. However, the precise scope of the bombing campaign remains unclear, and officials have indicated that the operation could still be called off at the last minute. President Donald Trump fuelled speculation on Friday, stating that “we’ll be hitting them very hard,” though he did not specify targets or a timeline.
