The New Seraph Evangelical Ministries has called on the government and relevant agencies to increase efforts in ensuring the safety and security of Nigerians. This appeal was made by the founder, Her Grace Iya Aladura General Dr. Oluwaseye Yomi-Sholoye, during a press conference announcing the ministry's 2026 Annual General Conference (AGC) and the unveiling of the Night of Divine Experience (NODE 8.0).
Call for Enhanced Security
Yomi-Sholoye emphasized the need for authorities to be more proactive in addressing security challenges across the country. She noted that a safe environment is crucial for national development and the well-being of citizens. The cleric urged the government to intensify efforts to protect lives and property.
Annual General Conference 2026
The conference is scheduled to take place from May 7 to May 9, 2026, at The New Seraph Prayer City in Ode Remo, Ogun State. Themed “Revive Us O Lord,” based on Lamentations 5:21, the event will focus on reviewing the church's past, assessing its present state, and charting a future direction, particularly in the post-centenary era of the Cherubim and Seraphim Church. The church recently celebrated its centenary, which Yomi-Sholoye described as a testament to God's faithfulness, while stressing the need for renewed commitment to growth and transformation.
The conference will feature renowned speakers and panelists who will deliberate on critical issues affecting the church and propose strategies for a paradigm shift to enhance its impact. Participants from across Nigeria and the diaspora, including government representatives, traditional rulers, and other dignitaries, are expected to attend. The main guest speaker is Pastor Festus B. Taiwo, and panelists include Apostle Olaitan Oloruntoyin, Apostle Dr. Oke Raphael, Bro. Dayo Oyewo, and Rev. Taiwo Akinmoladun.
Night of Divine Experience (NODE 8.0)
Yomi-Sholoye also unveiled the eighth edition of the ministry's global prayer convergence, NODE 8.0, scheduled for August 19 to August 21, 2026. The program will feature 72 hours of uninterrupted prayers, worship, teachings, and humanitarian outreach. Over 300,000 participants are expected physically, with millions more joining virtually through various digital platforms. Adequate security and traffic control measures have been put in place to ensure a hitch-free experience, and provisions have been made for global participation via live streaming.
