Enugu Governor Mbah Appoints 23 Special Advisers and Assistants

Enugu State Governor Peter Mbah has approved the appointment of 23 new special advisers (SPAs) and senior special assistants (SSAs) to strengthen governance in the state, according to an announcement by the Secretary to the Enugu State Government, Chidiebere Onyia, a professor, on Wednesday. The appointments take immediate effect.

List of New Appointees and Their Portfolios

The new appointees include Hon Chukwudi Ezinwa as Special Adviser on Labour Union and Association Matters, Hon Sunday Nnamani (Orlando) as Special Adviser on Special Duties, Mr Williams Chukwu as Special Adviser on Agriculture, and Prince Afam Agana as Special Adviser on Infrastructure Compliance. Humphrey Onyima was appointed Special Adviser on Investment Strategy and Public Relations, while Hon Tony Ugwu takes the role of Special Adviser on Rural Development.

Chief Ernest Nweze was named Special Adviser on Party Coordination and Mobilisation, Hon Emeka Onunze as Special Adviser on Monitoring and Evaluation, and Mr Robinson Odo (mni) as Special Adviser on Labour and Productivity. Pastor Kenneth Asogwa (Ebube Muonso) was appointed Senior Special Assistant on Heritage and Community Relations, and Pastor Tochukwu Ogbodo as Senior Special Assistant on Social Engagement.

Senior Special Assistants Appointments

Lucky Chukwu was named Senior Special Assistant on Public Affairs, Belonwu Nnaji as Senior Special Assistant on Cultural Orientation, Hon Steve Odo as Senior Special Assistant on Tourism, and Hon Francis Ikewette Ede as Senior Special Assistant on Public Communication. Mr Sunny Okafor was appointed Senior Special Assistant on General Duties, Hon Chinedu Okwu Otaka as Senior Special Assistant on Social Orientation and Mobilisation, and Otaba Cosmas Ikechukwu as Senior Special Assistant on Protection of Public Utilities.

Pius Okeagu was named Senior Special Assistant on Assets Management, Hon Innocent Emeka Ugwu as Senior Special Assistant on Inter-Party Affairs, Mrs Eucharia Offor as Senior Special Assistant on Human Resource Management, Mr Kenneth Oforma as Senior Special Assistant on Policy and Communication, and Kelvin Ede as Senior Special Assistant on Research and Strategy.

According to the Secretary to the Enugu State Government, Chidiebere Onyia, the appointments take immediate effect, aiming to bolster the state's administrative capacity.
