NAHCON Commences 2026 Hajj and Umrah Review
The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has initiated a comprehensive review of the 2026 Hajj and Umrah operations, inviting Nigerian pilgrims and stakeholders to submit complaints, observations, and suggestions regarding services rendered during the exercise. The commission stated that this feedback will be instrumental in identifying shortcomings and improving future pilgrimage experiences. In line with its statutory mandate to regulate, supervise, and provide oversight of organisations involved in coordinating pilgrim movements, NAHCON is conducting this review to ensure continuous enhancement of services.
Impact on Service Providers and Licence Renewals
According to NAHCON, the submissions will also play a key role in determining the renewal of licences for service providers, including tour operators, State Muslim Pilgrims’ Welfare Boards, airlines, cargo companies, caterers, and accommodation providers. The commission emphasised that public input would strengthen oversight of these organisations and help maintain high standards in Hajj and Umrah operations. Pilgrims who participated in the 2026 Hajj or Umrah are particularly encouraged to share their experiences.
Submission Guidelines and Deadline
NAHCON requested that contributors send their petitions, comments, or recommendations along with their full addresses.
