President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is set to open the 2026 Global Civil Service Summit in Abuja, as Nigeria prepares to host world leaders and experts in public sector reform. The Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation announced plans for the 2026 International Civil Service Conference (ICSC), scheduled for May 20–21, 2026, in Abuja. The high-profile conference will convene under the theme, “Reforms, Resilience and Results,” bringing together top government officials, governance experts, reform advocates, development partners, and policy leaders from across the world.

President Tinubu to Lead Opening Ceremony

A major highlight of the summit will be the official opening by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, underscoring the Federal Government’s renewed push for a modern, innovative, and performance-driven Civil Service. The conference is expected to attract delegates from countries including the United States of America, United Kingdom, Singapore, Switzerland, Ghana, The Gambia, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Algeria, Sudan and Indonesia, further cementing the event’s growing international relevance.

Organisers said this year’s edition will feature high-level plenary sessions, technical roundtables, fireside conversations, and interactive engagements focused on institutional reforms, digital transformation, leadership, innovation, workforce development, accountability, and improved service delivery.
