Kwankwaso: Tinubu's Northern Projects Secure 2027 Victory, Dismisses ADC Critics

Chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano, Musa Iliasu Kwankwaso, has firmly stated that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu stands a superior chance to secure mass votes across the Northern States in the 2027 presidential election. Kwankwaso, a former Commissioner for Rural Development, emphasized that despite efforts by mischief-makers, Tinubu's developmental initiatives in the Northern region will pave the way for a decisive victory.

Developmental Strides and Political Motivation

In an interview with journalists on Monday, Kwankwaso, who currently serves as Director of Finance at the Hadejia Jammaare River Basin, argued that calculated attacks on the President are politically driven to tarnish his image among unsuspecting Northerners. He reflected on his experience in the former President Goodluck Jonathan administration, noting how insecurities, allegations of underperformance, and tribal sentiments were weaponized during election periods.

Kwankwaso highlighted that even longstanding Northern leaders have failed to resolve critical challenges, insisting that no amount of criticism will hinder Tinubu's return to Aso Rock in 2027. He pointed out that while late President Muhammadu Buhari did his best, the Northwestern part of the country experienced severe security issues, including kidnapping and banditry, during his tenure, leading to abductions of schoolchildren.

Security and Infrastructure Progress

He urged Nigerians to recognize the bitter truth: although the President and his security chiefs coordinate efforts, they rely on troops to combat criminals directly. Kwankwaso asserted that the government has provided adequate funding for weapons and troop motivation, calling for public support rather than unnecessary criticism.

Kwankwaso detailed that all major projects initiated by Buhari, such as railways, roads, water supply, buildings, agriculture, and the AKK gas supply, are being continued and innovated upon by Tinubu, with significant focus in the North. He cited ongoing projects like the Kano-Abuja, Kano-Maiduguri, and Kano-Gwarzo-Katsina roads, as well as railway programs from Kano to Daura, Maradi, and Port Harcourt, demonstrating Tinubu's non-tribalistic leadership.

Political Support and Defections

Dr. Illiyasu assured that Tinubu will receive a landslide victory message from the North, supported by respectful Northerners who remain loyal. Addressing recent defections, including those of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf and Mallam Ibrahim Shekarau, Kwankwaso declared that Kano is fully behind the APC and the President, bolstered by influential figures like Shekarau, Ganduje, Abubakar Kabir Bichi, and Senator Barau Jibrin.

He dismissed the ADC as a party lacking legal power and in disarray, urging Nigerians to ignore frustrated politicians and instead rally around Tinubu for the nation's future and their children's benefit.
