VDM Drops Heavy Allegations on Tinubu's Secret '2030' Masterplan: "It's Not Just 2027"
Social media personality Martins Vincent Otse, widely known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has ignited fresh political debates by sharing explosive claims about President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's alleged long-term ambitions. In a video posted on his Instagram page, the influencer asserted that the President is not merely focused on securing a second term in the 2027 elections but is secretly laying the groundwork to remain in power until 2030 and beyond.
Allegations of Extended Political Ambitions
VDM boldly stated, "I don't think President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is preparing for the 2027 election. I think he is preparing for 2030 too." He elaborated that this suggests a potential third-term agenda, adding a new layer to ongoing political discussions in Nigeria. The influencer argued that the current political landscape, marked by the All Progressives Congress (APC)'s growing dominance, points to a calculated move toward total political control.
Evidence of APC's Growing Influence
Backing his claims, VDM highlighted the APC's control across multiple levels of government. He pointed out that with 31 out of 35 governors aligned with the ruling party and most members of the National Assembly also in support, the path to consolidating power has become almost guaranteed. "With 31 governors out of 35 already with APC, and most members of the National Assembly aligned, it's almost a guarantee," he stated, suggesting this strength could facilitate extended rule.
Concerns Over a One-Party System
VDM raised alarms about what he described as a possible shift toward a one-party system, where opposition becomes less effective. He added, "Tinubu wants to rule for a third term. He is pursuing a one-party system." This statement has resonated with many viewers, fueling debates about democracy and political competition in the country.
Context of VDM's Recent Feuds
Legit.ng recalled that VDM recently shared a worrying video amid his feud with Mukoro Michelle, also known as King Mitchy. In the emotional footage, he alleged that his life is under threat, blaming King Mitchy and Seyi Tinubu, whom he described as her alleged sponsor. VDM explained that his friend, Dkokope, had intervened in the dispute, adding to the controversy.
Meanwhile, comedian Deeone has shared observations about VDM's activities, noting the social media activist's claims about his NGO website being hacked and money stolen, though many have doubted these assertions. VDM continues to insist on the truth of his statements, maintaining his role as a vocal figure in online discourse.
