High Chief Olanrewaju Bashorun, widely known as LARRYBASH, has pledged to run an issue-based campaign centered on development, quality representation, and unity for the Ado-Odo/Ota Federal Constituency. He also promised to advance the interests of the people if elected in the 2027 general election.

Bashorun made this commitment after emerging as the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the House of Representatives seat in the constituency. He secured victory during the party's primary election held on Saturday across all 16 wards in the area.

Announcing the results at the Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Secretariat, the Returning Officer, Dr. Samuel Ibidapo Odukoya, disclosed that Bashorun polled 17,740 votes to win the exercise. He was subsequently declared the APC flagbearer for the constituency.

Officials from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) monitored the primary in line with the Electoral Act and reportedly described the process as credible, free, and fair. Security agencies were also deployed to maintain law and order and ensure a peaceful conduct of the election across the constituency.

The exercise attracted a large turnout of party executives, chieftains, delegates, and members. Supporters attributed the high participation to Bashorun's popularity and his longstanding grassroots engagement within Ado-Odo/Ota Federal Constituency.

Speaking after his emergence, Bashorun thanked party leaders, delegates, and supporters for the confidence they placed in him. He reiterated his commitment to delivering quality representation and fostering unity among the people.
