ADC Starts Nomination Form Sales May 5 for 2027 Polls

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has announced that the sale of nomination and expression of interest forms for the 2027 general elections will commence on Tuesday, May 5, 2026. The party has set the cost of the presidential nomination form at N100 million, while the governorship form is pegged at N50 million. Senate forms will cost N20 million, House of Representatives forms N10 million, and state House of Assembly forms N3 million.

According to the timetable released by the party, women and persons with disabilities will be required to pay only 25 percent of the specified amount for any position they wish to contest. The sale of forms is scheduled to close on May 10, 2026, with the submission of completed forms taking place on May 11 and 13, 2026.

Screening and Primaries Schedule

The screening of aspirants is slated for May 14 and 15, 2026, and the names of screened aspirants will be published on May 17. Appeals will be heard on May 18 and 19, and the final list of cleared aspirants will be published on May 20. The party will hold its special national convention on May 27, 2026.
