Ogun APC Launches Statewide e-Registration to Expand Membership Base
APC Begins e-Registration Drive in Ogun State

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State has officially launched a comprehensive electronic registration drive for both new and existing members. This strategic initiative aims to broaden the party's support base, enhance internal unity, and prepare for upcoming political activities.

Leadership Champions Digital Shift

Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun flagged off the exercise, describing it as a pivotal moment for members and supporters to solidify their allegiance to the APC. Represented by his deputy, Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele, the governor emphasised that the e-registration opens doors for new entrants to join what he termed the "winning party."

He highlighted that the technology-driven process is designed to create a transparent and credible membership database. According to the governor, this modern approach will eradicate data manipulation, improve accuracy, and align the party's operations with global standards for political organisations.

A Call for Collective Action and Integrity

Governor Abiodun issued a strong appeal to party leaders, stakeholders, and members across all levels to mobilise supporters for widespread participation. He framed it as a collective responsibility, urging ward executives and field officers to collaborate for a smooth and inclusive process.

"The era of fake or inflated membership figures is over," he declared, underscoring the exercise's role in ensuring authenticity.

Echoing this sentiment, the State APC Chairman, Chief Yemi Sanusi, advised members to see the registration as a tool for party unification and strength, not for personal gain. He called on leaders in all 236 wards of the state to provide full backing for the initiative.

Ensuring Inclusivity and Demonstrating Commitment

Chief Sanusi assured that the party leadership would deploy extra registration centres and personnel where needed to accommodate everyone within the stipulated timeframe. He stressed that no genuine supporter or intending member should be left out.

To lead by example, top officials were among the first to register electronically at the flag-off ceremony. This group included Deputy Governor Noimot Salako-Oyedele, the Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Oludaisi Elemide, the Secretary to the State Government, Mr. Tokunbo Talabi, and the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Dr. Toyin Taiwo.

The party is now encouraging all members and supporters in Ogun State to participate actively and mobilise others. This move is seen as a critical step in building a more robust, inclusive, and forward-looking political structure for the APC in the state.
