The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially declared Kingsley Chinda as the winner of its governorship primary in Rivers State. Chinda will represent the party in the 2027 general elections.
Primary Election Results Announced
Bitrus Kwamoti, the chairman of the APC governorship primary election committee and returning officer, announced Chinda's victory in Port Harcourt, the state capital, on Thursday, May 21. Kwamoti disclosed the results at the APC secretariat in Port Harcourt after collating figures from the 23 local government areas of the state.
The announcement was made following the receipt of results from collation officers across all local government areas. Chinda's emergence as the party's candidate marks a significant step in the APC's preparations for the 2027 gubernatorial race in Rivers State.
