APC Denies Primary Rigging Claims, Cites Logistics Issues

The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has dismissed claims that a party leader diverted electoral materials meant for the House of Representatives primaries in Umuahia, describing the allegations as baseless rumors.

Logistical Challenges Blamed

Uche Aguoru, the publicity secretary of the APC in Abia State, attributed the delay to logistical problems involving the transportation of materials from Abuja. He confirmed that the election commenced immediately after the materials arrived.

According to a TVC report, a stakeholders' meeting with aspirants was held before the primaries fully began. Aguoru explained: "What actually happened was that there were logistical issues. The election materials that were supposed to come from Abuja had a flight delay, but as we speak, the materials are now here, and we are going to have a stakeholders' meeting with the aspirants."
