APC Endorses Adeleye as Consensus Candidate for Ifo/Ewekoro

The All Progressives Congress (APC) leaders in Ogun State have endorsed the immediate past Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Hon. Adijat Adeleye, as the consensus candidate for the Ifo/Ewekoro Federal Constituency ahead of the 2027 elections. Adeleye has also obtained her nomination and expression of interest forms to contest for the House of Representatives seat, promising to carry along party leaders and constituents in her representation and to bring people-oriented projects to develop communities within the constituency.

Stakeholders Meeting and Endorsement

Her emergence as the candidate followed extensive consultations, reconciliatory moves, and consensus agreements among party leaders, stakeholders, and key political figures within the constituency. This was achieved during a stakeholders meeting held at the Ibara GRA residence of Chief Joju Fadairo. The meeting, chaired by Chief Fadairo, was attended by former Speaker Olakunle Oluomo, Adekunle Adeyemi, former member representing Ifo/Ewekoro Federal Constituency, Shina Adegbenro, APC Apex leader for Ewekoro Local Government, Bode Adeaga, former Majority Leader at the State Assembly, and others.

Adeleye's Gratitude and Commitment

Speaking in a statement yesterday, the two-term former lawmaker in the State House of Assembly thanked the party leaders, stakeholders, and Governor Dapo Abiodun for their support and contributions towards her emergence as the party's consensus candidate for the House of Representatives seat. She specifically commended Abiodun for his leadership style rooted in equity, justice, and fairness, noting that the governor had shown steady guidance and unwavering commitment to fostering unity within the party at all levels in the state.
