APC Extends Nomination Forms Sale to May 4

The All Progressives Congress (APC) National Working Committee (NWC) has approved an extension of the sale of its Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms for aspirants, moving the deadline from May 2 to May 4. The decision was announced by the party's Deputy National Publicity Secretary, Durosinmi Meseko, during a press briefing at the national secretariat in Abuja on Thursday.

Reason for Extension

Mr. Meseko explained that the extension was necessitated by the Workers Day public holiday observed on May 1 and the overwhelming interest shown by aspirants. The sale, initially scheduled from April 25 to May 2, will now close at midnight on Monday, May 4. Additionally, the submission deadline for completed forms and accompanying documents has been moved to midnight on Tuesday, May 5.

Official Statement

“The party has approved an extension of the timelines for the sale of aspirants’ Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms, as well as the submission of completed forms for the 2027 General Elections,” Meseko stated. He emphasized that the NWC took the decision during its meeting to ensure all interested candidates have adequate time to participate.
