The party announced the formation of its national campaign council for the upcoming Ekiti State governorship election, with Governor Uba Sani appointed as chairman and Senate President Godswill Akpabio as co-chairman.

According to an updated list released by the APC on its social media platform on Thursday, June 4, the campaign council includes all APC governors, recently elected governorship candidates from the party's primaries, federal lawmakers, and numerous party stalwarts. The council is scheduled to be inaugurated at the party's national secretariat in Abuja on Wednesday, June 10.
Ekiti Governorship Election Details
The Ekiti State governorship election is part of Nigeria's off-cycle polls. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has scheduled the exercise for Saturday, June 20. INEC chairman Joash Amupitan confirmed that bye-elections will be conducted simultaneously in six states. These include senatorial seats in Enugu, Nasarawa, Rivers, and Ondo states, a House of Assembly seat in Kebbi State, and a House of Representatives seat in Kano State.
