The United States chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially endorsed the reform policies of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, describing his emergence as the party's presidential candidate for the 2027 election as a strong vote of confidence in his economic transformation agenda. In a statement signed by its Chairman, Tai Balofin, the group said Nigerians and party members had demonstrated overwhelming support for Tinubu's leadership and the ongoing reforms under the Renewed Hope Agenda through the outcome of the presidential primaries.
Acknowledging Economic Hardship
The chapter acknowledged the economic hardship currently being experienced by many Nigerians but maintained that the administration's policies were necessary to lay a solid foundation for sustainable growth, economic stability, and national development. According to the statement, the reforms being implemented by the Tinubu administration are designed to rebuild the economy through fiscal discipline, improved revenue generation, structural adjustments, and strategic investments in critical sectors.
The Renewed Hope Agenda
“The Renewed Hope Agenda is not just a slogan; it is a comprehensive roadmap for rebuilding our economy through structural reforms, improved fiscal discipline, enhanced revenue generation, and strategic investments in critical sectors,” the statement read. It added that although the reforms may appear difficult in the short term, their long-term benefits would soon begin to positively impact the lives of ordinary Nigerians.
Call for Patience and Unity
The APC USA chapter urged Nigerians to remain patient and continue supporting the administration, stressing that meaningful transformation requires sacrifice, resilience, and collective effort. The group also commended the leadership of the APC for conducting what it described as peaceful and credible primaries across the country and called on all aspirants to embrace unity and support the party ahead of the 2027 general election.
“President Tinubu has consistently demonstrated that he is a leader who keeps his promises and puts Nigeria first. We are confident that with his re-election, the nation will witness accelerated development and lasting progress,” Balofin added.
