A support group within the All Progressives Congress (APC), BTO4PBAT, has called on the people of Ifedore Local Council Area in Ondo State to support President Bola Tinubu's re-election bid ahead of the 2027 general election. The group emphasized that Tinubu deserves their support due to his bold reforms and ongoing federal government projects across the state.
Grassroots Mobilisation Campaign
BTO4PBAT made this appeal during the third and final phase of its ward-to-ward tour across Ondo State. The tour drew grassroots mobilisers, community leaders, and party stakeholders who reaffirmed their backing for President Tinubu. Femi Ajape, the local government coordinator, urged residents to amplify awareness of the administration's achievements, particularly recognizing the contributions of the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo.
Call for Widespread Awareness
Folajimi Adewumi, the group's publicity secretary, called on residents to spread the BTO4PBAT message throughout every corner of the local government. He stressed the need for sustained grassroots mobilisation and advocacy to support Tinubu ahead of the 2027 elections.
Mrs. Afun Kemi, a group member, appealed to women in the area to intensify their support for the president. She expressed confidence in his leadership based on her long-standing observation of his political career. Mr. Ajayi Temitope emphasized the necessity of unity among the people, asserting that collective cooperation is essential for achieving meaningful development. He cautioned against prioritizing short-term monetary gains during elections.
Voter Card Verification
The Igbara Oke Ward Coordinator, speaking on behalf of all ward coordinators, advised residents to verify the validity of their permanent voter cards (PVCs). He warned that failure to do so could result in disenfranchisement. Aluko Oluwasegun from Ijare highlighted the achievements of Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo during his tenure in the House of Representatives, commending his dedication to public service and community development.
Future Political Plans
The director-general of the group, Adesuyi Adojutelegan, assured members that all registered party members would have roles to play as delegates during the primaries. He emphasized the importance of maintaining valid voter registration and urged those facing PVC-related issues to resolve them promptly. Adojutelegan noted that the tour aims to strengthen grassroots support for President Tinubu and that any further political engagement by the group after the 2027 general elections would shift toward 2028, with plans to pursue gubernatorial support.
