Continuity Movement Celebrates Kefas’ APC Primary Win

The Agbu Kefas Continuity Movement has extended its congratulations to Taraba State Governor, Dr. Agbu Kefas, following his decisive victory in the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship primary election. The group described the outcome as a powerful endorsement of his leadership and performance in office.

In a statement released on Saturday and signed by the group’s Coordinator, Mallam Ibrahim Ardo, the movement noted that Governor Kefas’ emergence as the APC flag bearer for the 2027 governorship election demonstrates the confidence and overwhelming support he enjoys among party members across the state.

According to the group, the governor secured a landslide victory in the primary election with 166,357 votes against his opponent’s 4,110 votes. The result was described as “a resounding political statement” regarding his acceptability and dominance within the party.

“This victory goes beyond the ballot; it is a referendum on leadership, performance, and direction,” the statement read. “APC members in Taraba have spoken clearly — and the message is continuity.”

The movement praised Kefas’ administration for what it termed significant developmental strides achieved over the past three years. It noted that his policies and programmes have laid a solid foundation for sustainable growth and transformation in the state.

It added that achievements recorded across critical sectors have strengthened public confidence in the governor’s leadership and earned him renewed support ahead of the 2027 election.

The group further declared that the governor’s continuity in office was “non-negotiable,” pledging its continued support for his vision and leadership.

“We stand firmly behind your mandate and remain committed to supporting your vision for a greater Taraba State,” the statement added.

The movement also commended the peaceful conduct of the APC primary election, describing it as a reflection of internal democracy and political maturity within the party in Taraba State.

While acknowledging the participation of other aspirants in the contest, the group urged party members to unite and focus on consolidating the party’s gains ahead of the general election.

“This is the time to close ranks. The contest is over. The mandate is clear. The focus now must be on consolidating gains and advancing the development of Taraba State,” the statement said.

The group reaffirmed its confidence in Governor Kefas’ leadership and urged him to remain committed to delivering on his administration’s agenda for the state.
