Ray Kene Ogbodo, a frontline governorship aspirant of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), has expressed optimism that a credible primary election in Enugu State will position the party for victory in the 2027 general election. He stated that residents of Enugu State are eager for a credible alternative capable of addressing the challenges facing the state.
Ogbodo Declares Interest
Ogbodo disclosed this after publicly declaring his interest in the race. He emphasized that the choice of a candidate through a credible process is a sure way to guarantee victory for the party in the 2027 election.
“Enugu people are obviously tired of the All Progressives Congress administration and are eagerly waiting to have a credible alternative. This is why I am upbeat that the party leadership will provide an avenue for that,” Ogbodo said.
A People-Oriented Government
The United Kingdom-based strategy, management, and leadership expert stated that Ndi Enugu deserves a people-oriented government, better governance, and adequate leadership to uplift the people from suffering and abject poverty. In a statement, Ogbodo promised to champion ethical leadership, economic empowerment, youth development, security, quality education, and people-centered governance.
“With new ideas, fresh energy, and a genuine commitment to serve our people with compassion, integrity, accountability, and transparency, I am driven by the desire to contribute meaningfully to the development and growth of Enugu State. We must ensure that our people are liberated from oppressors and out-of-touch politicians so they can start living well as they rightfully deserve,” he added.
Vision for Enugu
Ogbodo outlined his vision for the state, saying, “Enugu State deserves a purposeful, inclusive, and people-oriented government. A government that prioritizes the needs of the people, promotes youth and women participation, supports community, and strengthens opportunities for growth, development, and empowerment. We will champion ethical leadership, economic empowerment, youth development, adequate security, quality education, and people-centered governance. This mission is not about me; it is about us. It is about building a better future, restoring confidence in leadership, and delivering real results that will positively impact our lives.”
Call for Support
He urged support, collaboration, and partnership to uplift Enugu people from suffering and languishing in abject poverty and hopelessness orchestrated by oppressors and out-of-touch politicians with their bad governance and inadequate leadership style.
