Enugu APC Denies Reports of Mass Resignation, Affirms Party Unity

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Enugu State has firmly refuted recent media reports suggesting a wave of mass resignations among its members. The party has labeled these claims as misleading and unfounded, asserting that there is no internal crisis or agitation against its leadership within the state.

Party Leadership Dismisses Allegations

In a statement released by the party's Publicity Secretary, Uche Obute, the APC urged the public and its loyal members to disregard any narratives portraying discord within the state chapter. Obute emphasized that the leadership, stakeholders, and members are fully committed, loyal, and satisfied with the party's direction in Enugu.

Obute categorically denied any mass resignations, stating that allegations of exclusion and marginalization are completely false and baseless. He highlighted that the party remains cohesive and focused on its goals under the current administration.

Governor Mbah's Leadership Praised

Obute praised Governor Peter Mbah for his role in repositioning Enugu State as a stronghold for the APC. He described the governor as widely recognized for his inclusive leadership style, which has successfully integrated both long-standing members of the old APC bloc and new entrants into the party.

"The Governor is widely known for his inclusive leadership style, carrying along both members of the old APC bloc and new entrants into the party," Obute said. "Today, all members of the National and State Assemblies from Enugu State, 17 Local Government Area Council Chairmen, and councillors are all aligned with the APC."

Unprecedented Unity and Consolidation

According to Obute, this inclusive approach has fostered an unprecedented level of unity and political consolidation within the party. He noted that all former governors and critical political stakeholders in Enugu State have embraced the APC's vision, contributing to a strengthened political framework.

Both the old and new blocs are fully accommodated at all levels of party leadership, from the wards to the local government areas and the state structure. This integration, Obute argued, demonstrates the party's stability and lack of internal strife, contrary to the reported resignations.

The APC's statement aims to reassure supporters and the public of its solid footing in Enugu State, dismissing any notions of disarray as mere fabrications.
