Faduyile Declares for Ondo South Bye-Election, Vows to Complete Tenure

Professor Dayo Faduyile, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and a renowned Professor of Pathology and Forensic Medicine, has officially declared his intention to contest the June 20 bye-election for the Ondo South Senatorial District. Faduyile emphasized that his development agenda will be anchored on security consolidation, economic empowerment, and healthcare transformation.

Faduyile's Agenda for Ondo South

The APC chieftain, who is seeking the party's ticket, expressed confidence in his ability to complete the remaining tenure of Senator Jimoh Ibrahim. Ibrahim was recently appointed as Nigeria's Head of Mission Plenipotentiary and Ambassador to the United Nations. Faduyile, a former National President of the Nigeria Medical Association (NMA), stressed that he is well-qualified to occupy the seat and pledged to build upon what he termed the solid legislative foundation laid by the outgoing senator.

While outlining his agenda, Faduyile revealed that a blueprint has been designed to strengthen community policing and intelligence-sharing mechanisms across the six local government areas of the district. He also disclosed plans to activate investment structures that would deliver tangible benefits to all residents of Ondo South, irrespective of political affiliation.

Faduyile described his prospective mandate as a "pan Ondo South mandate," assuring that his victory would resonate with all progress-loving citizens of the district. "Ambassador Senator Jimoh Ibrahim has laid a good foundation, and his legislative impacts have put Ondo South on a pedestal of prominence. I am eminently qualified to complete the term of the renowned ambassador," Faduyile stated.

He further noted that his tenure at the upper legislative chamber would prioritize bills aimed at elevating healthcare facilities across the senatorial district. Faduyile also emphasized the need to consolidate community policing structures across Ondo South and called for collaboration among all sister security agencies. He proposed a formalized information-sharing framework to ensure that potential security threats are swiftly tackled.
