The Okpe Peoples’ Forum (OPF), a pan-Okpe socio-political and cultural organization, has praised Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for his achievements over the past three years and declared its support for his re-election bid in 2027.
Group Congratulates Governor on Development Efforts
The group congratulated Oborevwori for sustaining development efforts during his tenure and for emerging as the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate in the 2027 gubernatorial election. It also lauded the ruling party for its cohesion and unanimous election of the governor during the recent primary election.
Statement Highlights Achievements
In a statement signed by President Igho Akeregha and Secretary Edward Emoyadua Agba, the group expressed confidence in the governor’s leadership and people-oriented service, which has led to unprecedented infrastructure development across the state. The statement read: “In just three years in office, the Okpe people and many Deltans are satisfied that Oborevwori has surpassed expectations with his tireless commitment to rapid transformation. We express our appreciation and support for him to be re-elected in 2027 to finish his good work.”
M.O.R.E Agenda Progress
The group noted that Oborevwori outlined his vision through the M.O.R.E agenda, encompassing meaningful development, opportunities for all, realistic reforms, and enduring peace and security. It expressed satisfaction that significant progress has been made on these objectives.
Appeal for Continued Support
The Okpe group commended other ethnic groups for their support and appealed for continuous cooperation to re-elect the governor in 2027.
