Kefas Wins APC Primary, Pledges Unity and Prosperity

Governor Agbu Kefas of Taraba State has reaffirmed his dedication to fairness, humility, and inclusive governance after emerging victorious in the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship primary election.

Kefas made this commitment on Friday during his acceptance speech shortly after being declared the winner of the APC primary election. Members of the party's Governorship Primary Election Committee visited the Government House in Jalingo to formally present the results to the governor.

In his remarks, Governor Kefas described the victory as a collective achievement for all APC members across Taraba State. He expressed gratitude to the party leadership at all levels for their support and confidence in his administration, while also thanking the people of the state for their continued trust and cooperation.

The governor commended his fellow aspirants for participating in the democratic process, noting that democracy allows all voices to be heard. He stated that the period of political contest is over, and the time has come for unity and collective efforts toward the continued development of Taraba State.

Governor Kefas emphasized that his administration remains focused on strengthening the APC and building a more prosperous state for all residents. He promised to lead with integrity and ensure that every citizen benefits from the government's programs.

Earlier, the chairperson of the election committee noted that the primary election was conducted according to the will of party members, guided by integrity and due process. The Returning Officer announced that Governor Agbu Kefas secured 166,357 votes to win the primary, while his challenger, Muazu Jaji, polled 4,110 votes.
