Minister Launches Pro-Tinubu, Radda Campaign Group in Katsina

The Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Dr Muttaka Rabe Darma, has officially launched a political support group aimed at mobilizing grassroots backing for President Bola Tinubu and Katsina State Governor, Dr Dikko Radda. The group, named Grassroots Mobilization for Tinubu and Dikko (GMTD), was inaugurated in the Katsina metropolitan area over the weekend.

Minister Emphasizes Mobilization Efforts

Speaking at the event, Darma explained that the GMTD was created to strengthen mobilization initiatives in support of both President Tinubu and Governor Radda, particularly in preparation for upcoming electoral activities in the state and across the country. He revealed that plans are underway for the formal opening of the organization’s office in Katsina State, an event expected to attract prominent stakeholders from the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The minister assured attendees that he and the executive members of the group are fully committed to the project and will continue working diligently to achieve its goals as circumstances allow. He pledged close collaboration with the leadership and members of the organization, promising dedication, trust, and cooperation in pursuing the group’s objectives. He urged the newly inaugurated officials to remain patient, dedicated, and hardworking to ensure success.

Lawmaker Commends Grassroots Involvement

Also addressing the gathering, Usman Murtala Banye, the member representing Rimi/Charanchi/Batagarawa Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, praised the initiative. Banye highlighted the growing role of political support groups in grassroots mobilization, noting that as the country approaches another election cycle, the participation of youths is critical. He emphasized that organizations like GMTD will play a vital role in political mobilization efforts.

Group Chairman Pledges Full Support

The Chairman of GMTD, Abubakar Soja Tsanni, commended Darma for his foresight in establishing the group. Tsanni assured the minister of his full support in promoting the political interests of both President Tinubu and Governor Radda. The event, which drew key APC stakeholders from the Katsina council area, concluded with the formal inauguration of the group’s executive members.
