American rapper and multiple Grammy-nominated artist Nicki Minaj has emerged as a surprising supporter of British Conservative politician Kemi Badenoch. The endorsement came after the Tory leader criticized the Labour government during a session in the House of Commons on Wednesday.

The U.S. rapper, known for her fervent support of Donald Trump, took to X to endorse Badenoch, calling her “one of a kind.” Minaj shared footage of Badenoch's parliamentary remarks and compared her to former Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, suggesting that films and television shows would one day be made about her.

During the session, Badenoch targeted Prime Minister Keir Starmer and Health Secretary Wes Streeting. She mocked Streeting for his leadership ambitions, stating, “He has been a bit distracted lately. Why don’t you just do your job?” She also warned him against giving her dirty looks, adding, “We all know what he’s been up to.”

Turning to Starmer, Badenoch declared he was “in office, but not in power,” a phrase famously used by Norman Lamont to describe John Major’s administration in 1993. She highlighted recent turmoil within the Labour Party, noting that nearly 100 Labour MPs had called for the Prime Minister to resign and four ministers had quit in the past 48 hours. “It is clear his authority has gone and that he will not be able to deliver what little there is in this King’s Speech,” she said.

Minaj responded to the clip by posting, “The UK is truly one of a kind. They will portray her in film and TV one day… just like they did with Margaret Thatcher.”
