The Nigeria Union of Pensioners (NUP), Osun State Chapter, along with other organised labour groups, has officially endorsed Governor Ademola Adeleke ahead of the August 15 governorship election in Osun State. The governor expressed deep gratitude for the endorsement, describing it as a strong vote of confidence in his administration's ongoing efforts to enhance the welfare of workers and retirees across the state.
Governor Adeleke's Commitment to Workers and Pensioners
Governor Adeleke highlighted that his administration has made the timely payment of salaries and pensions a top priority. He noted significant progress in clearing inherited arrears and implementing welfare initiatives aimed at improving living conditions for both civil servants and pensioners. Retirees have specifically benefited from the ₦25,000 pension award and access to free healthcare through the Osun Health Insurance Scheme (OHIS). Workers continue to enjoy policies designed to boost their well-being and productivity.

The governor remarked that the endorsement from pensioners and labour unions reflects increasing confidence in his administration's people-centered programs and dedication to responsible governance.
