The PBAT Mandate Elders Forum in Ondo State has stepped up its grassroots mobilisation campaigns across the state in support of President Bola Tinubu ahead of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary election. The group launched the statewide drive this week, aiming to galvanise party faithful, strengthen internal unity within the APC, and build a solid foundation for Tinubu's re-election under the Renewed Hope agenda.
Ward-to-Ward Sensitisation
The mobilisation effort will cover ward-to-ward sensitisation programmes, stakeholders' engagements, community consultations, and strategic meetings across all 18 local council areas of Ondo State. According to the forum, Tinubu has demonstrated courage and visionary leadership through ongoing economic and political reforms aimed at repositioning Nigeria for sustainable growth and development.
Continuity in Leadership
The forum argued that continuity in leadership is crucial to sustaining the administration's policies, particularly in economic recovery, infrastructure development, security, and youth empowerment. Facilitator Chief Demola Ijabiyi stated that no other aspirant matches Tinubu's combination of experience and political will to complete the transformation agenda.
Ijabiyi urged APC leaders and members in Ondo State to prioritise the party's interest over personal ambitions and work collectively for a successful presidential primary. The forum also appealed to party faithful to avoid divisive politics that could create disunity within the APC, stressing that internal cohesion is vital for future electoral success.
Peaceful Political Engagement
Secretary Ebenezer Alabi emphasised the forum's commitment to peaceful, issue-based political engagement and lawful democratic means to mobilise support. He called on eligible members to actively participate in APC programmes, including membership registration and validation, to strengthen the party structure ahead of elections.
The forum expressed confidence that Tinubu would secure overwhelming support from APC stakeholders and delegates during the primary, describing him as a tested democrat and experienced leader capable of steering the nation toward greater prosperity. It reaffirmed its readiness to continue mobilising support across Ondo State and the South-West region to ensure the continuity of the APC-led administration at the federal level.
