Barrister Niyi Aborisade, a human rights activist and governorship aspirant in Oyo State on the platform of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has pledged to focus on purposeful leadership, transparency, accountability, and people-oriented governance. The British-trained lawyer made this commitment while obtaining his party's Expression of Interest and Nomination Form ahead of the 2027 Oyo State governorship election.
Commitment to People-Oriented Governance
Shortly after securing the nomination form in Abuja, Aborisade reaffirmed his unwavering dedication to purposeful leadership, transparency, accountability, and people-oriented governance. He stated that his decision to contest the governorship seat stems from genuine love for Oyo State and a burning desire to reposition the state for greater development, economic prosperity, quality education, industrial growth, improved healthcare, youth empowerment, and infrastructural advancement.
Visionary Leadership for Oyo State
Aborisade emphasized that Oyo State deserves visionary leadership driven by competence, honesty, integrity, and selfless service. He stressed that the people are yearning for a government that truly understands their pains and aspirations. The ADC governorship hopeful further promised to run an all-inclusive administration where every region, class, and sector of the state would receive equal attention and developmental benefits without discrimination.
