The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has officially announced the scheduling of its 103rd National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting, following the signed resolution of two-thirds of the committee members. The announcement was made via the party's official X account, @OfficialPDPNig.
According to the statement signed by NEC members, the meeting is set to take place on Monday, May 4, 2026, at 2:00pm. This follows due correspondence with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), in line with the provisions of Section 31 of the PDP Constitution.
Attendance and Membership
The party clarified that attendance is strictly limited to statutory members of NEC. This includes PDP state governors, members of the National Assembly from the PDP caucus, the Board of Trustees, state chairmen, former National Working Committee (NWC) members, former governors, principal officers of the National Assembly, and other designated stakeholders or INEC members.
Commitment to Party Unity
The PDP reaffirmed that the NEC remains dedicated to the stability, unity, and success of the party. The statement emphasized the party's commitment to internal democracy, party discipline, inclusivity, and the wellbeing of the Nigerian people as it prepares for the 2027 general elections.
