Prophetess Predicts Tinubu to Win 2027 Presidential Election
Prophetess Predicts Tinubu 2027 Victory

President Bola Tinubu has once again been projected to secure victory in his re-election bid ahead of the 2027 presidential elections, according to a prophecy by Bright Ndibunwa, popularly known as Bright the Seer. The celebrity prophetess and founder of The Lord of Hosts Miracle Chapel in Lagos made the claim in a trending video on Tuesday, May 5, 2026.

Prophetess Claims Atiku Not Destined to Be President

In the video, Bright the Seer stated that former Vice President Atiku Abubakar was not destined to become president but was meant to serve as an adviser or someone who cares for the less privileged. She further claimed that the Nigerian presidential banner is still being held by its current holder, suggesting that President Tinubu may win re-election in the 2027 general election.

This prophecy comes as Tinubu and his main rivals from the 2023 election—Atiku, Peter Obi, and Rabiu Kwankwaso—are strategizing for the 2027 polls. Obi and Kwankwaso have left the Labour Party and New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), respectively, and teamed up at the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC). Atiku has also left the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the African Democratic Congress (ADC) to challenge Tinubu.

Nigerians React to Prophecy

The prophecy has sparked mixed reactions from Nigerians on social media. Many criticized the cleric, urging separation of religion from politics. Others dismissed the prophecy as fake and insisted that democratic outcomes depend on voters and institutions, not spiritual predictions.

  • Anyanwu Malachy commented: "Abeg Abeg, leave religion and una prophecy away from this. Don't spoil this politics with una spiritual gimmicks."
  • Kingsofkogi called it a "fake prophecy everywhere."
  • Thomas Shelby criticized the prophetess for not prophesying success for the poor.
  • Ekuri emphasized that "democratic outcomes are ultimately decided by voters, institutions, and strategy, not prophecy."
  • Chuka Bryan noted that similar claims were made against Peter Obi in 2023, questioning whom to believe.

2027 Elections: Predictions About Peter Obi

Legit.ng earlier reported that Peter Obi's political journey from the Labour Party to the ADC and now the NDC was predicted by Daniel Bwala, an aide to President Tinubu. Additionally, former Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose made a prediction about the 2027 presidential hopeful that appeared to be coming to reality. Obi and Kwankwaso recently led a mass defection from the ADC to the NDC.
