Primary Election Results
The former federal lawmaker polled 9,105 votes to clinch the APC ticket. He defeated former Speaker of the Kaduna State House of Assembly, Yusuf Zailani, who garnered 1,021 votes, and another aspirant, Shettima, who secured 1,253 votes. Returning Officer Sameera Ibrahim announced the results as reported by Daily Trust.
Political Significance
Sani's victory marks a significant political comeback. He previously represented Kaduna Central in the National Assembly from 2015 to 2019 and is widely known for his activism and outspoken views on governance, democracy, and social justice. His supporters celebrated the win and expressed confidence in his chances for the 2027 general election.

Meanwhile, Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun emerged victorious in the APC primary for Ogun East Senatorial District. Abiodun secured 75,560 votes across nine local government areas. He expressed gratitude to supporters and pledged to uphold their trust and confidence.
