Senator Abdulaziz Musa Yar’adua has emerged victorious in the All Progressives Congress (APC) senatorial primary election for Katsina Central Senatorial District, securing the party’s ticket for the 2027 general elections. The announcement was made on May 19, 2026, following a transparent and credible voting process.

In his acceptance speech, Yar’adua expressed heartfelt thanks to delegates, party leaders, and supporters across the district for what he described as an overwhelming show of confidence in his leadership. “Alhamdulillah, with a heart full of gratitude, I sincerely thank the good people of Katsina Central Senatorial District for your overwhelming support and confidence in me,” he stated. Yar’adua commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for strengthening democratic processes within the APC and praised Katsina State Governor Dikko Umaru Radda for providing leadership and stability in the state.
