Zamfara APC Takes a Firm Stand Against Internal Division
The Zamfara State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has issued a strong warning to its members, declaring a zero-tolerance stance towards anti-party activities. The party stated that such acts, which are designed to foster political friction and internal division, will no longer be tolerated.
Baseless Online Report Sparks Official Response
The party's position was communicated in a statement released by its State Publicity Secretary, Yusuf Idris Gusau. The statement was prompted by a speculative online report claiming that some aggrieved members from the Shinkafi local government area had taken the state chapter to court. The report, which the party has labeled as false, alleged that the members were challenging their 'unconstitutional' sanction from the APC.
Gusau specifically referenced the online story, which named Babangida Aliyu Shinkafi, Kabiru Ibrahim, and Ibrahim D Kurya as the individuals who filed a suit on Friday, under suit No ZMS/GS/65/2025. He clarified that the plaintiffs were seeking judicial intervention for a sanction that does not exist.
Party Dismisses Claims as Fabricated and Mischievous
The APC spokesman emphatically denied the allegations, describing the information as completely false and baseless. He asserted that the story originated from mischievous individuals aiming to damage the party's growing positive reputation within Zamfara State.
"The party is not aware of anything about discipline and or suspension of any of its members from Shinkafi, nor has the party received any order in this regard from any court of law," Gusau stated. He suggested that the aggrieved individuals might be acting out of fear of potential future sanctions due to their persistent anti-party actions and their alleged close relationship with the state's ruling party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The party's firm response underscores its commitment to maintaining internal discipline and unity as it positions itself in the state's political landscape.
