In a festive season gesture aimed at bringing relief and joy, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu facilitated the distribution of essential food items worth millions of naira to the people of Ebonyi State on Saturday, December 27, 2025.
A Gesture of Compassion and Solidarity
The distribution event, which embodied the spirit of Christmas, saw beneficiaries receive bags of rice, garri, noodles, and other materials. Representing the President, the National Coordinator for the Southeast Renewed Hope Agenda, Ambassador Belusochukwu Enwere, performed the handover ceremony in Ebonyi.
Ambassador Enwere emphasized that the initiative was far more than a ceremonial act. He described it as a practical demonstration of compassion, solidarity, and a shared commitment to improving the welfare of Nigerians, particularly during the festive period and amidst economic challenges. He reminded the gathering that Christmas is a season of love, sacrifice, and sharing, highlighting the importance of caring for the vulnerable and families in need.

The ambassador directly linked the exercise to the core principles of President Tinubu's administration. "The Renewed Hope Agenda, under the visionary leadership of His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, is anchored on inclusiveness, people-centered governance, and restoring hope to Nigerians," Enwere stated.
He further explained that the distribution was a strategic effort to cushion the effects of current economic hardships and ensure that no citizen is left behind. Ebonyi State was specifically acknowledged for holding a special place in the development aspirations of the Southeast region, with its people praised for their industrious spirit and resilience.
Enwere expressed his honour at presiding over the event and extended gratitude to various stakeholders who ensured its success, including:

He also commended the leadership of the Renewed Hope Agenda in Ebonyi State for their support and cooperation.
