Two Eligibility Categories for the Job Opportunity Visa
According to the UAE's official legislation, applicants must hold at least a bachelor's degree or its equivalent and fall into one of two specific categories. The first category covers experienced workers classified at the first, second, or third professional level according to the professions classification approved by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE).
The second category applies to graduates of one of the top 500 universities in the world, as ranked under the classification approved by the UAE Ministry of Education. However, this category has a time restriction: no more than two years must have passed since the applicant's graduation.
Financial Security and Other Requirements
In addition to meeting one of the two eligibility criteria, applicants must demonstrate that they meet the prescribed financial security threshold. While the published conditions do not specify the exact amount, this requirement serves as a safeguard to ensure applicants can support themselves during their stay while seeking employment.
The job opportunity visa is designed to allow skilled foreign nationals to enter the UAE and search for work without needing a job offer or sponsor before arrival.
