Governor Babagana Umara Zulum of Borno State has officially declared Tuesday, June 16, 2026, as a public holiday to commemorate the Islamic Hijri New Year (1448 AH). The announcement was made by Usman Tar, the state Commissioner for Information and Internal Security, in a statement released on Sunday, June 14, 2026.
