Condolences and Calls for Unity
Governor Yusuf extended his deepest sympathies to the bereaved families, the leadership and members of the State Assembly, as well as the people of the lawmakers' constituencies: Kano Municipal and Ungoggo Local Government Areas.
In his message, he prayed to Allah (SWT) to forgive their shortcomings, envelop them in His infinite mercy, and grant their families and all Kano residents the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss. The governor urged the people of the state to remain calm, united, and prayerful, framing the tragedy as a test of faith and collective resilience.
Final Rites for the Departed
The funeral arrangements for the two honourable members were swiftly conducted. Hon. Aminu Sa'adu was laid to rest at the Ungoggo cemetery. The funeral prayer for Hon. Sarki Aliyu was scheduled to hold at 10:00 am on Thursday at the Emir's Palace Mosque in Kano.
