The Abia State Chapter of the City Boy Movement (CBM) has announced that it has established a solid foundation across the state, positioning itself to play a leading role in advancing the movement's objectives. CBM is a Nigerian youth-driven political support group backing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's 'Renewed Hope' agenda and his bid for a second term in the 2027 elections.
This development follows the successful inauguration of CBM ward, local government, and state executives, including polling unit heads. With these structures now in place across all 17 local government areas, the Abia chapter has built a strong and fully functional grassroots network.
The state chapter, led by State Director Mayor Lucky Igbokwe, has emerged as one of the most organized and effective arms of the movement in the country. CBM began as a youth empowerment and political sensitization initiative in 2022, but since 2024, it has evolved into an overt political mobilization machine for Tinubu's 2027 campaign.
To build youth support for the president's reelection, CBM combines charity and palliative efforts with empowerment rallies at the grassroots level. The movement aims to galvanize young voters and ensure a strong showing for Tinubu in Abia State.
