BAT-IG Mobilizes 10,000 Youths for FG Policies

The Bola Ahmed Tinubu Ideological Group (BAT-IG) has announced the mobilization of over 10,000 young Nigerians across the country's 8,809 electoral wards to serve as grassroots advocates for government programs and policies. The initiative aims to deepen awareness and support for President Bola Tinubu's administration at the community level.

Program Details

Speaking at the group's unveiling in Abuja on Thursday, the Convener of BAT-IG, Bamidele Atoyebi, explained that the program targets graduates, National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members, artisans, technicians, skilled workers, students, and undergraduates. Participants selected from each ward will receive a monthly stipend of N20,000 to encourage active participation and sustained community engagement.

Beneficiaries will act as ward-level ambassadors, tasked with sensitizing residents on the achievements and reforms of the Tinubu administration. They will also help galvanize public support and voter mobilization ahead of the next general election.

Call to Action

Atoyebi emphasized that the initiative is not about spreading propaganda but about sharing information, opportunities, experiences, and hope. He urged participants to create monthly videos detailing how they applied, got selected, and how these opportunities are positively impacting their lives. These videos are to be shared on social media platforms such as WhatsApp, Facebook, TikTok, Snapchat, Instagram, and X to encourage more Nigerians to learn and benefit.

He also called on beneficiaries of the Federal Government's student loan scheme and the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) program to actively showcase and promote the achievements of the Tinubu administration.

Funding and Sustainability

The initiative requires approximately N200,000 monthly, and the group will rely on support from stakeholders to sustain the program over the next year. Atoyebi expressed confidence that the program would foster civic participation, policy awareness, digital advocacy, media engagement, and constructive communication, strengthening the bridge between the government and the people.
