Suspected bandits have abducted the wife and son of Alhaji Yusuf Alhasan, the All Progressives Congress (APC) chairman of Yauri Local Government Area in Kebbi State. The gunmen stormed Alhasan’s residence in the Low-Cost area of Yauri around 1:12 am on Monday, June 22, 2026, and whisked the victims away to an unknown destination.

According to security analyst Bakatsine, the assailants specifically targeted the chairman’s family members during the operation. The attackers gained entry into the home and seized the wife and son before fleeing. No group has claimed responsibility for the abduction.
