The incident, which occurred on Sunday, February 8, 2026, began when forest guards received credible intelligence about a potential invasion by armed men believed to be bandits. In a proactive move to pre-empt the attack, the operatives advanced into the community area. However, they were ambushed by the assailants, leading to a fierce confrontation.

During the encounter, a forest guard identified as Samuel was reportedly shot dead. The attackers, described as heavily armed, overwhelmed the guards in the surprise assault, highlighting the escalating security challenges in the region.
