Suspected bandits have launched a violent assault on the Koro community in Ekiti Local Government Area of Kwara State, resulting in the tragic death of a forest guard and the destruction of property.

The incident, which occurred on Sunday, February 8, 2026, began when forest guards received credible intelligence about a potential invasion by armed men believed to be bandits.
