A suspected drug dealer, Isioma Anthony, has been arrested by members of the Agbor Gha-Ihun Security Outfit in Agbor, Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State. The suspect was handed over to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) for further investigation and prosecution.
Arrest Details
The suspect, a native of Ndokwa West Local Government Area, was apprehended around 2:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 14, 2026, during a routine security operation conducted by the vigilance group in Agbor. Items allegedly found in his possession included 40 grams of crack cocaine, 240 grams of cannabis sativa, 12 grams of heroin, and 17 grams of methamphetamine.
Suspect's Plea
Following his arrest, Anthony pleaded for forgiveness, attributing his involvement in the illicit drug trade to economic hardship and the struggle for survival. He expressed remorse and begged for leniency.
Security Outfit's Response
Chief Sunny Ibude, Chairman of the Agbor Gha-Ihun Security Outfit, reiterated the group's dedication to combating crime, cultism, and drug-related activities in Agbor Kingdom and its environs. He cautioned youths against engaging in criminal activities and the abuse or sale of hard drugs, emphasizing that the security outfit would collaborate closely with law enforcement agencies to ensure peace and security in the area.
Warning to Cult Groups
Chief Ibude also issued a strong warning to cult groups operating within Agbor Kingdom and surrounding communities, urging them to cease their activities or face the full force of the law if apprehended.
The suspect has been transferred to the NDLEA Agbor Command for thorough investigation and potential legal action.
