Troops of Operation Fansan Yamma (OPFY) have successfully facilitated the unconditional release of ten individuals who were abducted in Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State. According to reliable military sources, the victims were received on April 30th by troops conducting checkpoint duties at Forward Operating Base (FOB) Maro, following their release from a suspected terrorist camp.
Details of the Abduction
Preliminary investigations indicate that the rescued victims were kidnapped on January 4, 2026, in Unguwan Gamu. The sources confirmed that the victims were subsequently handed over to a representative of the Chairman of Kajuru Local Government Area for further care and reintegration into society.
Ongoing Security Efforts
The military sources added that security operations are continuing to track down the abductors and prevent any recurrence of such incidents in the area. At the time of filing this report, efforts to obtain a statement from the spokesman of the State Police Command were unsuccessful.
