Troops of Operation Enduring Peace (OPEP) have arrested a 20-year-old Fulani man, Abubakar Usman, for allegedly stabbing his elder brother to death during a domestic dispute in Jema’a Local Government Area of Kaduna State. The incident occurred at approximately 8:00 a.m. on August 2, 2026, in Ungwon Hausawa Village, Gidan Waya District.
Response to Distress Call
According to intelligence sources cited by security analyst Zagazola Makama, troops from Sector 7 OPEP responded to a distress call reporting the stabbing of a Fulani man by his younger brother. Upon arrival at the scene, the troops found the victim critically injured and immediately evacuated him to the General Hospital in Kafanchan.
Medical personnel at the hospital later confirmed the victim dead, despite efforts to save his life. The suspect, Abubakar Usman, was arrested at the scene by the troops and taken into custody for further investigation and necessary legal action.
