Shocking Murder of APC Leader in Delta

The Delta State Police Command has officially confirmed the brutal murder of a prominent political figure, sending shockwaves across the state. Mr. Ese Idisi, the Vice Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ethiope East Local Government Area, was killed over the weekend by unidentified attackers.

Police Investigation Underway

According to police spokesperson SP Bright Edafe, the command received reports about the horrific incident and has immediately launched an investigation. The killing occurred in the Okpara Waterside community, though specific details surrounding the attack remain unclear as authorities continue their probe.

"We got a report that he was murdered and we are presently investigating," stated Edafe, emphasizing that the police are treating this case with utmost seriousness.

APC Reacts with Outrage and Grief

The murder has triggered intense outrage within the Delta State chapter of the APC, which issued a strongly worded statement condemning the act. Mr. Valentine Onojeghuo, the APC State Publicity Secretary, described Idisi's death as a "brutal and condemnable killing" that has devastated the party.

The party demanded that security agencies conduct what it called a "thorough, uncompromising, and professional investigation" into what it termed a cruel and senseless murder. They insisted that all perpetrators and sponsors must be identified and brought to justice without delay.

In their tribute, the APC described Idisi as a loyal, committed, and dependable party stalwart whose death has created a painful void in his community and within APC's Ethiope East Ward 4. "His death is not just a loss; it is a heavy blow that has plunged the Party into mourning," the statement noted.

The party extended its deepest condolences to Idisi's family, friends, and political associates during this difficult time.
