Social media influencer Ash Trevino has pleaded guilty to welfare fraud and healthcare fraud, according to court documents obtained by TMZ. The plea comes after Texas prosecutors alleged that she had relationships with between 50 and 75 inmates in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice over several years.
Prosecutors Allege Widespread Inmate Relationships
In court documents, prosecutors claimed Trevino had relationships with approximately “50-75 inmates.” They further alleged that some of these inmates were serving sentences for violent offenses, including aggravated robbery and murder. The allegations were part of a broader case that also included accusations of soliciting money from TikTok followers in exchange for disclosing health information about a dependent.
Additional Allegations and Arrest
Prosecutors also accused Trevino of participating in sexually explicit videos and livestreams on social media. Trevino was initially arrested in December 2025 on outstanding warrants. She was released after posting bond but was taken back into custody in March 2026 for allegedly violating the conditions of her release.
Charges and Sentencing
She was subsequently charged with welfare fraud and healthcare fraud. This week, Trevino pleaded guilty to the charges and avoided additional jail time. She was sentenced to two years of community supervision, 120 hours of community service, an anti-theft class, and financial counseling. She was also ordered to pay $16,799.95 in restitution to the state.
Clarification on Convictions
The allegations concerning her relationships with inmates and her social media activity were made by prosecutors in court documents and were not themselves the basis of the fraud convictions. According to the court documents, the plea deal resolves the fraud charges, and the inmate relationship allegations were not part of the criminal charges.
