Three people have been confirmed dead following a tragic road accident in Kogi State. The incident occurred around the Ganaja Village Roundabout in Lokoja on Thursday, July 9, 2026.
According to eyewitness accounts, the victims included a baby, the driver who was conveying a deceased person’s body, and another family member who was accompanying the corpse. All three died instantly after the vehicle transporting the body rammed into a trailer.

The collision took place at the busy Ganaja Village Roundabout, a known accident-prone area in Lokoja. The vehicle carrying the corpse was reportedly traveling at speed when it crashed into the stationary or oncoming trailer. Emergency responders arrived at the scene to recover the bodies.
