Osun Ritual Killing: Boyfriend Confesses to Luring FRSC Officer, Daughter to Death
Boyfriend confesses to killing FRSC officer, child in Osun

A shocking case of suspected ritual murder has emerged from Osun state, with a man confessing to orchestrating the killing of his girlfriend, a senior Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) officer, and her young daughter.

Suspects Paraded, Chilling Confession Made

Victor Fajemirokun, a 40-year-old grilled fish seller based in Osogbo, was paraded by the Osun state police command on Wednesday, December 3, 2025. He was presented alongside two alleged herbalists, Sunday James and Gboyega Daramola, at the police headquarters in Osogbo.

The victims were identified as FRSC personnel Funmilayo Lasisi, 39, and her 12-year-old daughter, Sewa Lasisi. The pair had earlier been reported missing from their base in Abeokuta, Ogun state. Their mutilated bodies were later discovered at a suspected herbalist's den in Ijebu-Jesa, Osun state.

How TikTok, Spiritual Advice Led to Murder

In a detailed confession, Fajemirokun explained the twisted sequence of events that led to the double murder. He stated that he first met herbalist Gboyega Daramola on the social media platform TikTok.

Fajemirokun claimed he had consulted an Islamic cleric, or 'Alfa', who told him that his girlfriend, Funmilayo, was spiritually responsible for his misfortunes and was "impeding the speed of his destiny." Daramola allegedly reinforced this claim during a spiritual consultation.

"The agreement between me and Funmilayo was to go and meet him for spiritual cleansing," Fajemirokun told police. "So, when this man (Gboyega) did spiritual consultation for me, he said Funmilayo was the one causing misfortune for me. So, he asked me to come with her."

Acting on this instruction, Fajemirokun lured Funmilayo and her daughter from Abeokuta to Ijebu-Jesa in Osun state under the pretence of performing spiritual exercises.

Gruesome Details of the Bush Killing

The suspects took the victims to a bush. Fajemirokun narrated, "The man told Funmilayo that she had to do some rituals and instructed three men to take her to the bush to perform the rituals. It was in the bush that we killed her. The daughter went to the bush with us."

Sunday James, one of the apprehended herbalists, provided more horrifying details. He claimed his boss, Daramola, ordered him to carry out the killings. "We took them to a bush where we used a knife to cut their throats. After that, we cut the woman into pieces," James stated.

However, the main herbalist suspect, Gboyega Daramola, denied being present at the crime scene. He countered that it was Fajemirokun who instructed them to kill the deceased for money rituals.

Police disclosed that while Funmilayo Lasisi's body was retrieved from a dam where her remains were dumped, vital parts including her head, both hands, and chest were missing, pointing strongly to ritual motives.

Manhunt, Arrest, and Remorse

Following the crime, Fajemirokun fled, first to a mountain in Ikoyi and then to Ibadan, before eventually evading arrest by traveling to Ghana. He was apprehended through a collaboration between Nigerian authorities and Interpol and subsequently repatriated to Nigeria.

Expressing a belated sense of remorse, Fajemirokun said, "It was as if I was hypnotised. I never really wanted to do that... I never knew they harvested their organs. I only heard that on the news and that was when I decided to come back home."

The Osun state police command is continuing its investigation into the gruesome murder, which has sent shockwaves across the state and the nation.
